Community Guidelines

VidStack is a community of YouTube creators and freelancers working together to produce great content. These Community Guidelines help ensure a safe, respectful, and productive environment for everyone.

By using VidStack, you agree to follow these guidelines in all your interactions, including team chats, job postings, freelancer profiles, and any other communication on the platform.


1. Be Respectful

1.1 Treat Others Well

  • Communicate professionally and courteously
  • Respect different opinions, backgrounds, and perspectives
  • Give constructive feedback, not personal attacks
  • Assume good intentions when misunderstandings occur

1.2 No Harassment

Harassment of any kind is not tolerated. This includes:

  • Bullying, intimidation, or threatening behavior
  • Personal attacks or insults
  • Unwanted repeated contact after being asked to stop
  • Sharing someone's private information without consent (doxxing)
  • Sexual harassment or unwanted advances

2. No Discrimination

VidStack welcomes users from all backgrounds. Discrimination is strictly prohibited.

2.1 Protected Characteristics

Do not discriminate or make derogatory comments based on:

  • Race or ethnicity
  • Color
  • National origin
  • Religion
  • Sex or gender
  • Sexual orientation
  • Gender identity or expression
  • Age
  • Disability
  • Veteran status
  • Any other protected characteristic

2.2 Job Postings

Job postings must not include discriminatory requirements. Focus on skills and qualifications relevant to the work.


3. No Hate Speech

Content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups is prohibited. This includes:

  • Slurs or derogatory language targeting protected groups
  • Content promoting extremist ideologies
  • Symbols or imagery associated with hate groups
  • Dehumanizing language or comparisons

4. Keep It Professional

4.1 Business Communications

VidStack is a professional platform. Keep communications focused on work and collaboration.

4.2 Appropriate Content

Do not share content that is:

  • Sexually explicit or pornographic
  • Excessively violent or gory
  • Designed to shock or disturb

4.3 Language

  • Avoid excessive profanity
  • Do not use language intended to offend or provoke
  • Communicate clearly and professionally

5. Be Honest

5.1 Accurate Information

  • Provide truthful information in your profile and communications
  • Do not misrepresent your skills, experience, or portfolio
  • Do not impersonate others or create fake accounts

5.2 Authentic Reviews

If leaving reviews or feedback:

  • Base reviews on genuine experiences
  • Be honest and fair
  • Do not post fake reviews (positive or negative)
  • Do not offer or accept payment for reviews

5.3 No Fraud or Scams

Do not engage in fraudulent activity, including:

  • Accepting payment for work you don't intend to complete
  • Misrepresenting the nature of a job or project
  • Phishing or attempting to steal credentials
  • Any form of financial fraud

6. No Spam

6.1 Prohibited Spam Activities

  • Do not send unsolicited bulk messages
  • Do not post repetitive or duplicate content
  • Do not use the platform solely for self-promotion unrelated to its purpose
  • Do not post misleading links or clickbait

6.2 Job Postings

  • Post each job only once
  • Do not post fake jobs to collect applications
  • Do not use job postings for unrelated advertising

7. Respect Intellectual Property

7.1 Your Content

Only share content you have the right to use, including:

  • Portfolio samples you created or have permission to display
  • Images and media you own or have licensed
  • Text and descriptions that are original or properly attributed

7.2 Others' Content

  • Do not steal or plagiarize others' work
  • Do not share copyrighted content without permission
  • Respect the intellectual property of creators and freelancers

8. No Illegal Activity

Do not use VidStack for any illegal purpose, including:

  • Offering or soliciting illegal services
  • Selling illegal products or substances
  • Money laundering or financial crimes
  • Violating export controls or sanctions
  • Any activity that violates local, state, national, or international law

9. Protect Privacy

9.1 Your Privacy

Be mindful of what personal information you share publicly on your profile or in communications.

9.2 Others' Privacy

  • Do not share others' personal information without consent
  • Do not screenshot or share private conversations publicly
  • Respect confidentiality agreements with clients

10. No Malicious Activity

Do not engage in activities that harm the platform or its users:

  • Do not upload viruses, malware, or malicious code
  • Do not attempt to hack or gain unauthorized access to accounts
  • Do not interfere with the operation of the platform
  • Do not exploit bugs or vulnerabilities (report them instead)

11. Reporting Violations

11.1 How to Report

If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it:

Include:

  • Description of the violation
  • Username(s) involved
  • Screenshots or evidence (if available)
  • Date and time of the incident

11.2 What Happens Next

Our team will review all reports and take appropriate action. We may contact you for additional information.

11.3 No Retaliation

Do not retaliate against users who report violations in good faith. Retaliation is itself a violation of these guidelines.


12. Consequences of Violations

Violations of these Community Guidelines may result in:

12.1 Warning

For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a warning and request that you correct the behavior.

12.2 Content Removal

We may remove content that violates these guidelines, including profiles, job postings, messages, or other material.

12.3 Temporary Suspension

Repeated or serious violations may result in temporary suspension of your account.

12.4 Permanent Termination

Severe violations or continued misconduct after warnings may result in permanent termination of your account.

12.5 Legal Action

In cases involving illegal activity, fraud, or significant harm, we may report the matter to law enforcement or pursue legal action.


13. Appeals

If you believe action was taken against your account in error, you may appeal by emailing support@vidstack.app with:

  • Your username
  • Description of the action taken
  • Why you believe it was in error
  • Any supporting information

Appeals are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Our decision is final.


14. Changes to Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of VidStack after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
